Swiss luxury watch maker Hublot announces their presence in Second Life. Hublot’s island in 2nd Life features luxurious bars, a marina, exhibition area and even an online shop.

Hublot is the first watch brand to open a virtual presence in Second Life. Judging from the screen-shots the company invested to create a rich environment featuring an exhibition area with real 3D models of Hublot watches.

Dexter Sinister offers a range of watches with big steel cases.

Urwerk offers their unique 103 now in TiAlN-coated Steel. In 2006 we reported about the 103 Blackbird Limited edition. The new TiAIN version has a 4 microns thick coating of Titanium Aluminum Nitride which has the effect of multiplying the resistance of the underlying metal to scratches, shocks, oxidation and even acids.

The 103.08 in TiAlN coated steel is lighter than its gold and platinum.

Fossil offers a limited edition of the Snake watch, which is new in the Starck collection.

Australian SMS Technology has updated the M500 wristphone they launched in May. The most visible update is the new metal clasp that prevents the watch to fall off your wrist when you open it. We just received these exclusive photos of the new clasp from SMS Technology.

Garmin announced the Forerunner 50 sports watch today. The Forerunner 50 is the only sports watch with automatic wireless sync that helps runners and walkers track their workouts.

The Forerunner 50 can track up to seven hours and 100 laps of detailed data. The Foot Pod accessory can track how long you run on a treadmill or how you walk in a day at work.

In 2004 Tag Heuer introduced the first SLR watch exclusively made for Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren car owners. Now Tag Heuer introduced a new TAG Heuer SLR for Mercedes-Benz.

The new 2007 TAG Heuer SLR for Mercedes-Benz comes in a limited edition of 3,500 pieces. The new edition of the Chronograph has captured some of the most distinctive design elements of the latest version of the SLR Dream Machine, the famous SLR 722 edition powered by a 650HP engine and reaching 337 km/h: the painted exposed black carbon front spoiler and palladium-grey wheels rim spider have inspired the titanium-carbide black tachymeter bezel, while the red SLR lettering and red-painted brake calipers are echoed by the red painted hands.

A Chinese company introduces an interesting new wristphone. It is apparently still in a prototype stage.
