As the holidays draw nearer we will publish several gift tips for wrist watches. A beautiful watch is a classic gift that almost everybody appreciates, kids, guys and of course the ladies. Over the years I already gave my wife several watches for different occasions. It always was a winner.

I decided to start with a wristwatch gift idea for men. The Tag Heuer Monaco Automatic has the edginess of the signature Tag Heuer Monaco line that Steve McQueen made famous, but lacking the Chronograph and therefore making it more affordable and also less complex.

Casio continues to celebrate the 25th anniversary of G-shock watches. The company introduced the G-Shock GW-225C, GW-9025C and GW-9125C.

The Casio GW-225C is a diving watch featuring diving time, time interval, preset 10 diving points across the planet, id function (passport, blood type), stopwatch, timer, and EL backlight. The G-shock GW-225C is 200m waterproofed.

Citizen announced a new generation of their Bluetooth wrist watch line. Compared the first Citizen Bluetooth Virt watch the company launched in 2006, the new ones are very compact and look like a normal LCD watch. Early this year Citizen introduced a slightly updated model, but that one also still had a very small screen.

The reception of the triband GSM wrist phone is supposed excellent. The sound quality via the Bluetooth headphone is also supposed to be great.

Casio announces new hip Baby-G watches for women dubbed Dance Style.

The Baby-G Dance Style features a square face and wide studded-pattern band that creates a futuristic design.

Dance Style is water resistant up to 100 meters, contains an EL backlight with multi-color afterglow, dual time, countdown timer, stopwatch, daily alarm and animated selectable display.

Casio announced a new Baby-G watch that combines function with a dash of girly sugar.

The water and shock resistant Casio Baby-G BG-90 features analog and digital timekeeping. Other features of the BG-90 include LED light, world time in 48 cities, five daily alarms, a stopwatch, a countdown timer and silent mode.

Maybe some of you remember the Casio Camera Watches (WQV series). A new GSM Wrist phone brings back the camera function with a 1.3MP from Hyundai. The Hyundai W-100 branded wrist phone that we already reported about under the name CECT Wristphone.
Back then we did not have any specification and did not see that this Wrist Phone also has a camera integrated.

Japanese watch maker Citizen buys U.S. based Bulova from Loews for $247 million.
The purchase is supposed to strengthen Citizen in the $200-$600 segment. Bulova offers a wide range of watches. You can see some of them here.
