I am not a fan of luxury cell phones. Watchmakers seem to think that there is money to be made by combining watch technology and appeal with cell phones. Tag Heuer did it and now Ulysse Nardin will unveil the Chairman Phone at the BaselWorld 2009.
The problem with luxury wrapped electronics is that it ages very quickly. A mechanical watch is never getting outdated. A mobile phone is obsolete latest in 18 months.
Bell&Ross slightly modifies their signature design watches and unveils the BR 03 Instrument Type Aviation. The BR 03 Instrument Type Aviation has two LCD displays, one of them shows in letters the current selected function.

I continue to be in love with all black watches and the Porsche P6920 Split-Seconds Chronograph is all black.
The BaselWorld 2009 draws closer and watch makers start to tease or unveil their latest innovations.
The C1 QuantumGravity timepiece, designed by the C Lab Series team in conjunction with BNB Concept features an aerial bi-axial Tourbillon mechanism. The design makes "emptiness" its core material, a skeletized dial, functional elements fitted to the side of the carriage and an industrial and minimalist spirit, the C1 QuantumGravity timepiece defies all laws, including that of logic and most of all, of gravity.

Prada in a surprising move is offering a Bluetooth watch with its new LG Prada II Mobile Phone. The new Prada LG-KF900 smartphone has a slide-out keyboard that makes it ideal for messaging. The Prada Link Bluetooth watch is displaying SMS directly on your wrist as the Fossil Bluetooth watches did in 2006. LG actually showed a full Watch Phone at the CES 2008. So they have their own know-how for high-tech watches. Will be interesting if LG shows again a Mobile Phone Watch at the CES 2009. Fossil partnered with Sony Ericsson for their Bluetooth watches.

The Zihotch Retro Phone Watch is the craziest watch I have seen in a long time. The watch resembles the dial of an old phone and actually does not display the time, but actually tells it to you when you dial 117 on the watch.
Dialing a wrong number will trigger a message saying you have dialed the wrong number. How funny is that!
