Watchmaker Urwerk showcases one of its final products as it prepares to shut down operations on one of its biggest watch lines
One of the most creative watch designers in the industry, Urwerk, is going to stop production of its "103" collection at the end of the year. To end it with a punch, the company has the Mexican Fireleg, a watch high highly unusual color and design choices.
The self-described "aggressive and venomous" timepiece and stark luminescent orange time markers. It is a powerful watch to end such a stories series of watches. There will also be a "Shining T" version, which reportedly draws inspiration from Janapese manga comics.
"Our 103 collection is entering its seventh year. It has reached its maturity and fullness," said Urwerk. "This emblematic model deserves and end commensurate with its life."
Total production is limited to 99 units (60 standard pieces, as well as 33 of the "Shining T" versions).
Full details will be announced at the Baselworld show later this month, where all the major wristwatch designers show off their latest collections. Keep checking back to Wrist Dreams for the latest previews and news from the show.
