Ulysse Nardin Chairman Phone to be unveiled at BaselWorld 2009 I am not a fan of luxury cell phones. Watchmakers seem to think that there is money to be made by combining watch technology and appeal with cell phones. Tag Heuer did it and now Ulysse Nardin will unveil the Chairman Phone at the BaselWorld 2009.
The problem with luxury wrapped electronics is that it ages very quickly. A mechanical watch is never getting outdated. A mobile phone is obsolete latest in 18 months. In any case the Ulysse Nardin Chairman looks dramatic and it features kinetic power along other elements of luxury watches. Details are still very limited as Ulysse Nardin is keeping it under wraps until BaselWorld 2009 next week.

The BaselWorld 2009 will take place in Basel from March 26 to April 2nd. The watch show will spawn over six exhibition halls with a total surface area of 160,000m2.
