Tag Heuer celebrates 40 years of the legendary Tag Heuer Monaco watch. You know I am in love with this watch and I am still a very lucky owner of a
Blue Monaco CW2113.FC6183 since about half a year. Tag Heuer unveiled the first Monaco 1969 and in 1970 Steve McQueen made the Monaco a classic by wearing it in the movie Le Mans.
The new re-engineered Tag Heuer Monaco Calibre 12 Chronograph features the all-new, high-performance Calibre 12 movement visible through the sapphire crystal caseback.
Tag Heuer kept the face design the same and only added the Calibre 12 text under the Automatic Chronograph label. You can choose between a black and a blue dial. Forget the black dial though. Steve McQueen chose the blue dial and so should you.
Tag Heuer offers now to register to pre-order the new Tag Heuer Monaco Calibre 12 Chronograph, but does not reveal the price. I assume the new Calibre 12 Monaco watches will be more expensive than the currently available series.
