Tag Heuer Monaco Review I at a happy place in my life as I am now a owner of a Tag Heuer Monaco Automatic Chronograph CW2113.FC6183 - the blue Steve McQueen's Monaco. Back in 2004 I wrote the first time about the Tag Heuer Monaco on Wrist Dreams. I was in love with this classic square beauty already back then.
Tag Heuer introduced the first Monaco in 1969. It was the first water-resistant chronograph with a square case. In 1970 Steve McQueen made the Monaco famous wearing it in the movie Le Mans. There are several versions of the Monaco available today from Tag Heuer, but for me only the blue one is really the one.

Why I am so attracted to the Tag Heuer Monaco is difficult to describe. It just looks perfect and it looks perfect on my wrist. Even if Steve McQueen would have not worn it, I still would love this watch. The Monaco also makes quite an impression on others as it shape combined with the blue dial and strap stand out.
What I found out also is that the watch fits to all my clothes. No matter if I wear a T-shirt and jeans or a suit the Monaco shines and crowns the outfit.
The size of the case is not that big that it would feel heavy. The Monaco is very comfortable to wear. The crocodile leather strap features a folding buckle in polished steel with push-buttons that can be adjusted very accurately to find the best fit on my wrist - not to loose and not too tight. The clasp is also designed to keep the Monaco on you wrist in case the buckle opens by accident, which never happened though to me yet.

From a feature stand point the Tag Heuer Monaco is straight forward without any unnecessary frills. The square steel case holds a Perspex crystal like the classic Monaco from 1969. The chronograph functions offer elapsed and total time and there are 12-hour, 30-minute and 60-second registers. The dial's hour points light up in the dark. The Monaco is runs on the TAG Heuer Calibre 17 automatic movement and is water-resistant to 30 meters (100ft). The case is 41mm wide and 12mm thick.
Completely wound up the Monaco CW2113 runs for 42 hours.

I have been wearing no watch for several years as my mobile phone is telling the time as well. The Tag Heuer Monaco is not a mere time teller it is a the coolest jewelry for men I can imagine. If you have questions about the Monaco, do not hesitate to email me.

The Tag Heuer Monaco Automatic Chronograph CW2113.FC6183 sells for instance on Amazon.com for $2,925.
