The new Galaxy from Japanese watch shop Galaxy has a face plate featuring multi-colored light bars reminding me on displays used in the original Star Trek series.

The cryptic looking display of the Galaxy is deceptively easy to read; one touch of the upper button initiates a programmed animation of light, and then presents the time. Twelve yellow bars represent hours in a clock wise direction, eleven red bars represent groups of five minutes and four green bars show single minutes.
Pressing the lower button presents the time immediately.
Galaxy is only available from Tokyoflash and is being launched for just 13,900 Japanese yen ($131, €83, £66) including free five-day worldwide shipping.
