A couple days ago we briefly reported about the AK Geneve HMS Automatic Warp Watch. Now got access to the full press-kit and can bring you more details about this unique watch.
The Warp is the brainchild of designer Arny Kapshitzer (AK), who is indeed a huge Star Trek fan, which is clearly reflected in the design and name of the watch.
The Tag Heuer Aquaracer Chronotimer features a unique combination of a movement with dual digital and analogue display.
By turning the crown you can go from viewing the second time zone to viewing the perpetual calendar up to 2099, or you can even start the chronograph – precise to within 1/100th of a second.
With 8 modes, including daily and reminder alarm, countdown feature and backlit display, this chronograph illustrates the fusion of technical performance features that are unique to TAG Heuer pieces.

The new Galaxy from Japanese watch shop Galaxy has a face plate featuring multi-colored light bars reminding me on displays used in the original Star Trek series.
The cryptic looking display of the Galaxy is deceptively easy to read; one touch of the upper button initiates a programmed animation of light, and then presents the time. Twelve yellow bars represent hours in a clock wise direction, eleven red bars represent groups of five minutes and four green bars show single minutes.
Pressing the lower button presents the time immediately.
