Australian SMS Technology has updated the M500 wristphone they launched in May. The most visible update is the new metal clasp that prevents the watch to fall off your wrist when you open it. We just received these
exclusive photos of the new clasp from SMS Technology.
Compare to that to the
standard strap used in the first M500 model.
The new M500 wrist mobile phone will feature improved software as well. Improvements are to be found in Java applications, MMS and WAP. The usability is also supposed to be better.
The new batch of M500 wrist phones is currently in production China and scheduled to ship end of August or beginning of September. Most watches go to South Africa, where VodaCom (partner of Vodafone) is distributing the M500 wrist phone. Only small numbers will be available elsewhere. SMS Technology says that the full global availability of the M500 will be in time for the Holiday shopping season.
