Maurice Lacroix announces the Memoire 1. The Memoire 1 will be the first mechanical watch with a memory function.
The Maurice Lacroix Memoire 1 has a simplistic dial with two hands. One for the minutes and one for the seconds. A disk to indicate the hours. An indication at 3 o’clock reveals the cool secret of Memoir 1: By pressing the button integrated into the crown, the mode changes from “Time” to “Chrono”. The hands and the hours disk immediately change their positions. If their previous function was telling the current time, they are now available for the precise measurement of time intervals. When the button is pressed once again, they all return to their positions for telling time.

The watches have fun designs that are differentiating them from other watch brands. For instance 'The Accurate' (photo) is the most accurate wristwatch you can buy - the hour hand reads "remember" while the minutes read, "you will die". I like this humor a lot.
The watch designer Crispin Jones says: “These days
very functional timekeeping is done on the mobile phone, so the watch needs to offer something more. The Mr Jones watches all have extra functionality in addition to the time keeping, which aim to solve personality flaws like indecisiveness, vanity or arrogance.”
