Christie's auction sets new wristwatch sales recordA bunch of fancy watches hit the auction block at the fabled U.S. auction site known as Christie's. With a total amount of about $6.2 million spent, it sets a one-day record for a watch auction.

The highest-selling item was an 18 carat gold European single-button chronograph watch, which sold for $432,000. In fact, it was tough to get any watch there for under 100 grand.
