Fossil Twist Series Style: ME1000
Fossil offers with the Twist Series a fashion watch with a touch of a expensive Swiss watch by exposing a little bit of the mechanics through the dial.

Fossil paired precision quartz timing with a patented mechanical dial to create the Twist watch. The partially exposed mechanics lets you see the inner-workings of your watch, even if it’s mainly a digital watch.

Balykin watch uses digital sand grains for time For that 14th Century pirate in all of us, Balykin Design has created a wristwatch that looks like a digital hourglass, one of the most primitive forms of timekeeping. The default it set that the "sand" will fall at a rate of one side per minute, but to make it even more difficult to tell the time, that can be changed to various other amounts of time.

It can also be toggled to a normal time view that shows the hour in the top side and the minutes in the bottom. It looks cool and yet I don't think I'd ever wear it in public.

Tag Heuer Formula One endorsed by Fernando Alonso Tag Heuer introduces in time for the new Formula One season that kicked off in Australia on the weekend a new Formula One watch endorsed by 2 times champion Fernando Alonso.

The new Tag Heuer Formula One watch features include an easy grip screw-in crown, titanium carbide coated unidirectional turning bezel with raised fine-brushed steel numbers, water-resistant to 200 meters, luminescent markers on hands and hour-markers, anti-scratch sapphire crystal, and double safety clasp with extension system.

This new TAG Heuer Formula 1 is available in a watch format with black, red, or white dial, or as a Chronograph with orange, red, silver or black dial.

Mugen 2012 watches made out of Titanic ruins Though Leonardo DiCaprio won't be involved, the Titanic is making its way back to the limelight in a new collection of luxury watches that include steel and coal from the remains of the fabled sunken ship.

$100,000 watch part of IndyCar prize package Under a new partnership, Ritmo has become the official timepiece of the IndyCar Series. The high-end watch manufacturer says this opens up the future possibility of branded watches specifically made for IndyCar fans. What I'm more interested in, though, is this statement in Friday's press release:

"As part of the partnership, Ritmo will present a $100,000 watch to the IndyCar Series championship driver." I'm not even sure what a $100,000 watch looks like, but I guess it's probably nicer that the $10,000 Ritmo watch pictured, and I'd imagine every hour it would chime the phrase, "I'm wearing this watch instead of feeding a small country."

James Bond watches up for auction James Bond is not really known for his bling, but one signature of the spy movie legend is his tripped out watches. Antiquorum will be auctioning off two of the most recent 007 timepieces, with two from last year's Casino Royale and one from 1999's Tomorrow Never Dies (pictured).

Both watches, produced by elegant watch maker Omega, will be auctioned off on April 14 and 15 during an "Omegamania" event in Switzerland.

Mugen by Futara TokyoFlash Japanese watch store Tokyoflash offers the new Mugen by Futara watch.

Mugen (meaning "infinity" in Japanese) is available in either Black or Silver & with a mirrored blue LCD display it tells the time via a series of spiraling blocks. Around the outer edges are 60 segments, indicating 1 minute each. They are grouped in 10's so it's easy to tell the time at a glance. The inner spiral of blocks represent 1 hour each.

Since the display is "always on" there is no need to push a button to see the time. This watch also has an animation feature. Once a minute, the display spirals all the way off & all the way on, then settles back onto the current time.

With a weight of only 60g the Zero-G is comfortable to wear. The metal wristband is only 1.5mm thick.

Gadget Universe now has a $150 watch that can play back music, movies, and photos. Dubbed the "home theater watch", it comes packed with 2 GB of internal memory that can be filled up via a USB connection to a computer.

The watch has a 1.5" screen and has a resolution of 260,000 pixels. It reads a proprietary video format, and comes with a conversion software that transfers most formats to the new format. It can also play MP1, MP2, or MP3 and WMA audio files, and allows you to view JPEG images.
