The Bathys 100 Fathoms watch is a stylish watch with a lot of class.  The face and case are a complement to one another.  The 100 Fathoms illuminates in the dark with clarity. The caseback is quite striking with a tiny map of Hawaii engraved on a sea of brushed steel. It is water resistant up to 200M. It has a sapphire crystal and is 41.1 mm in diameter.

Australian SMS Technology launch date is right around the corner as they prepare to release its GSM mobile timepiece.  Check out the abundant photos Engadget has graciously supplied of the new and improved M300 .   Also, after being incognito for a couple of days, The SMS Technology homepage is back and running online.

On a blue note, an I4U reader who preordered a M300 was disappointed in the customer service he received from SMS Technology.  SMS Technology failed to relay communication of its delays on the release of the watch and have been very unresponsive, giving him the inkling that he may have been ripped off.

Hollywood actress Charlize Theron is being sued by the Swiss watch company, the Raymond Weil company for violating an endorsement deal to only where its timepieces. Based on court papers filed by the Raymond Weil Company, Theron was photographed wearing Christian Dior watches, who also paid her to promote its perfumes.

The 31 year old South African star, who has won best actress Oscar for Monster in 2003, was paid “substantial funds” for use of her photographs in its advertisements.  Proof of her wearing a Dior watch at a film festival news conference in Texas was part of the exhibit.

Tag Heuer holds a reputation of its own as a reputable and classic watchmaker.  Why wouldn’t it be a surprise that the Swiss company teamed with Mercedes Benz to create the SLR Chronograph?  The SLR Chronograph is a world-class watch that includes an automatic chronograph.

Rumored to be “inspired” by the Mercedes vehicle of the same name, the Tag Heuer SLR arrives with Calibre 17 movement, a patented mechanism that positions the buttons next to the bezel and a dual bezel design that houses both the mileposts (purposed to calculate the exact speed all the way up to 400 km/h) and the timer to count down.  The later is “handy for qualifying sessions and rally-styled timed stages.

Being late or wondering what time you should leave for an appointment will be the thing of the past.  Designer Martin Frey has invented a prototype nicknamed “the thinking watch”.

This innovative timepiece can tap into Personal Area Networks and Bluetooth to communicate with user’s mobile device by finding the user’s location via GPS or GSM tracking.  It can then check the location of your next engagement; can calculate the length of time it will take before you arrive by displaying a little walking man on the interface of the watch.

TokyoFlash goes Zero-G Japanese watch store Tokyoflash offers the new Zero-G by Futara wristwatch.

The Zero-G features a mirrored LCD display with a very cool and minimalist circular time display. The LCD "hand" points to the hour just like a regular watch and the sweeping curve ends at the minute mark indicating the minutes in a regular manner.
With a weight of only 60g the Zero-G is comfortable to wear. The metal wristband is only 1.5mm thick.

You don’t just glance at this watch and keep going.  You have to stop, cock you head to the side (left or right… you choose), and ask yourself if it’s for a male or female.  You conclude that it could be a fine fashion timepiece for a female, but qualify for a futuristic chronometer for the valiant male.

Putting its mysteriously looking, sexually unbiased, physical features to the side, it’s noted to play MP3 and video clips.  With some many phones and MP3 players already on the market, the benefits of this watch are pretty much just style and… time.

OMEGA takes the high road with its 8500/8501 timepiece.  This exclusive in-house manufactured piece was revealed to a select audience at a press conference.

Omega has decided to make its own COSC-certified movement with 202 completely redesigned components.  Equipped with an upgraded version of Omega’s proprietary Co-Axial technology, they guarantee extended timekeeping accuracy and reliability.

The COMBAT 07 mysteriously illuminates with classical style.  This handsomely crafted watch is fitted with the ETA 2824 movement which can be seen through the glass back.

The scratch-resistant sapphire glass clearly reveals the crimson red illuminating dials complementing the black backdrop. You can also find style colors in white/grey and blue/orange.  This time piece is water-proofed up to 50 meters; and is available in a rich leather strap or metal wristlet.  You won’t be disappointed when you wrap this striking watch around your wrist.
