
Casio announced two official license 2006 FIFA Soccer World Cup wristwatches.
Both new Casio G-Shock watches are white and have a somewhat reduced and clean look, despite being feature packed. The 2006 Soccer World Cup Germany logo is on the back cover of the new Casios.
The Casio G-Shock GW-56RTWC (photo) features a special stop watch for Soccer games. It can keep track of actual play-time and over-time due to breaks. It also features a timer for interval training, a favorite trainings method with soccer player. Besides those features the G-Sho GW-56RTWC also features world time for 48 cities, EL back light, shock resistant and it is waterproof.
The Casio GW-056WCJ (photo below) is a radio controlled solar powered G-Shock watch.
Radio wave reception works in Japan and US. Casio highlights that the GW-056WCJ is very thin with 11mm.
Other functions are world time, stopwatch, timer, alarm and EL backlight.
Both new Casio wristwatches go on sale end of February. The DW-56RTWC will sell for 14,000 yen (~$120) and the GW-056WCJ sells for 22,000 yen (~$188). No word yet if these new FIFA Soccer Casio watches will be available outside of Japan.
