Apple Mac Event is on October 27, Reports

Several outlets have reported that Apple will hold a media event on October 27 to announce new Mac computers. This will be one day after Microsoft unveils new Surface hardware at a Windows 10 media event.

Apple is over due with releasing new computer hardware. So far the rumors focused on a new MacBook Pro with dynamic keys. The MacBook Air is getting upgraded and new rumor says Apple drops the 11-inch MacBook Air.

For me personally, I am only interested in a new iMac. My 2011 iMac holds up surprisingly well and is the tool I use up to 12 hours per day. After a graphics card failure I have upgraded the RAM to 32GB, giving the iMac new agility. It is though far from what I ideally would like. And that is instant computing. No wait times. No lag. I also want a bigger iMac. I want a 30-inch iMac since a year. Power users on Windows enjoy large displays, why can’t I on macOS?

I understand the whole focus on mobile, but some of us have to get work done on a daily basis. We want new desktop hardware that is not behind the times. Macs are supposed to be ahead. On the desktop Apple has become dated. Don’t even get me started on gaming and virtual reality.

The Apple event on October 27 has been spilled by TechCrunch and Recode. Apple has not yet sent out an invite to the October 27 event to make it official.
